Lead Term Game Designer & Programmer
Overview
This is a team project developed during Global Game Jam 2026, designed as a fast-paced clicker-style action game. Players must defeat as many enemies as possible within a limited time, using elemental masks to counter different enemy types and make quick strategic decisions. Disruptive enemies are introduced to interrupt combat flow and increase challenge. Instead of level-based progression, the game uses an endless score system, encouraging players to repeatedly attempt higher scores within short sessions, enhancing replayability.
I led the design of the core “clicking + elemental counter” mechanic to ensure low entry barriers while maintaining high decision density, suitable for a 3-day Game Jam scope. Playtesting showed that around 80% of players understood the core system within 30 seconds. Based on early feedback that disruptive enemies felt unfair due to excessive speed, I iterated on AI logic and balancing by reducing movement speed and improving predictability, significantly enhancing fairness and player experience. The team consisted of five members; I served as Game Designer and Lead Programmer, responsible for gameplay design, system implementation, Unity integration, and driving rapid iteration.
